This is my best appraisal on the Character of Christ and his Passions, His sufferings. Herein I dare touch upon the noble Character of Christ from a purely human perspective. I know there are countless excellent essays on the subject of Jesus Christ; and with a simple research on the Internet, you could probably find an excellent essay on the tragedy of the "Christ from a Shakespearean perspective."
Speaking of Character, I was bound to touch upon the controversial subject of women: the virtuous Sophia and Maria, and those heart-throttling ladies (Cleopatra, Delilah, Madam Jumel, among others, perhaps not so bad after all) who have made themselves powerful through craftiness and cunning. Many bad women, however sagacious, with their striking physical grace and beauty, could swallow saints, monarchs, kings, landlords and presidents…
Because I found my religious sensibilities --an all-too-human-imperfections, unworthy of the lofty qualities of the Christ, the humble of man of Galilee as presented in the Four Gospels (The New Testament), I have rather titled this essay: On Character, Virtue and Vice.
Here and there, so as to elucidate my points, I have also inserted some passages from the great masterpieces: Faust by Goethe, the Bible and the Divine Comedy of Dante.
I would ask my reader forgiveness if I, here and there, deviated from the authority of the Sacred Scriptures, for it is not an easy task to touch upon the "Divinity of Christ" without incurring conflicts, or enmities, with some friends in the Christian community. But I would like to ask you the following questions:
A) How could I view the "True Nature of Christ" from the premises of our decadent time?
B) Has not the god of the world already placed himself as Supreme God in your church, as Lord of our lives?
C) How do I know that some great men and women are still being crucified today?
Character Is Like an Image Forged in a Coin

Character Is Like an Image Forged in a Coin
In the Old Testament, Genesis, according to Moses, we therein read how the father of Jacob, Isaac, behaves like a doting daddy, was bound to repeat the same blunders, mistakes and one-sided favoritism, and this peculiarity was in keeping with his personality and idiosyncrasy. In fact, at the end, Isaac is finally overcome by his particular tendencies and fondness, and he is to act unwisely towards his two sons: Jacob and Esau.
Time and time again, the ancient writers surprise us with their devastating candid approach to presenting the characters and events of the Old Testament, as those of the New Testament, with great objectivity, little religious mawkishness, and in every great man or woman (except for the Lord and Savior) there are the virtuous deeds worthy of our admiration, but also --and perhaps from our moral relative perspective-- some were guilty of serious offenses, which, in conformity to the ineluctable coercive forces of our human nature, may warn us, that even among the finest people --even among geniuses and saints-- there are the ever present traces of malice, covetousness, selfishness, lust and pride.
To our surprise, the green-eyed beast not only entered the heart of traitor Judas, but from the Pit of Hell, we may even harken the din-noise of Devils, furiously claiming, as their properties, souls of the finest caliber and moral fabric.
There are those who may go on to compare character and personality to an image engraved in a coin, its most conspicuous traits, however rusting over time, seem to be long-lasting and ineradicable. Thus, events and circumstances are just to prove, albeit unpredictably to our calculations, that our daily trifles are just the stage-play whereupon we may act so and thus, and "rarely otherwise" in the serious drama and plaything of existence.
How often do we hurt by the pettiest trifles? And yet the Proverbs (19:11) of Salomon would remind us:
"...A person's wisdom makes him slow to anger, and it is his glory to overlook an offense."
I do not always subscribe to a pessimistic view on human nature, but to a certain extent, and in the most trying of circumstances and shocks to our precious self, we may be compelled to act thus, and rarely otherwise --metaphysically speaking-- but as though under the influence and authority of a deeper self ingrained in the net-will of our wanton passions; and hence, some of us, perhaps, were predestined to be so, "just the way I am," but in accordance to the most intimate pulsing-strokes of our essential being, our personality, our personality, personal traits: the peculiar baffling internal hieroglyphs of our inward nature. Thus, events and circumstances simply happen to corroborate the grave writings of the most serious writers: Shakespeare, Salomon, Schopenhauer, St. Paul the Apostle, and the other venerable authors of the Four Gospels.
Judas, for instance, was the Son of Perdition, and he was born to be a traitor to his Master. Some silly authors have argued against this somber criticism: that perhaps Judas, surnamed Iscariot, at the behest of his Master Jesus, was called to acting out his part in the Passions of the Christ, and that, in conformity to the Old Testament's prophecies (Isaiah 53), Judas, was asked to betray the Son of Man. I cannot subscribe to this view. In all likelihood, the traitor simply acted out his part but in conformity to his inward nature.
Judas is the typical Ghetto-Creature, low-class and uncouth, could not so readily acknowledge such lofty qualities as found in a simple Carpenter from Galilee; nor was Judas willing to bow down and revere a man standing in the same social status; for, the Master, as were the other disciples, was of very humble background. Hence, the humility and yet supernal qualities of Christ piqued Judas to the point of unquenchable jealousy and betrayal.
Jesus, the carpenter, the noble man of Galilee, endowed with the fine sentiments of a supernal human being and teacher --qualities exclusively reserved for the few luminaries in the high places of Rome and Greece-- was but a poor Jew, an autodidactic moralist par excellence, an unusual case of exceptional intelligence, goodness and virtue, qualities, which, like gold, may shine among those geniuses beset by the throes of a hard existence.
The Lotus-Soul, was born and raised among the Ghetto-Mob, the rabble, the legion, and thus he lived and walked among the disinherited of every kind. His life, limelight and unsuccessful career were but an impending tragedy, a disaster in progress with heartbreaking twists and plots. His crucifixion, was simply the natural outcome of these clashes of values: the noble and the vulgar, the lofty and the low, whereat, the Mighty One, thus forsaken and alone, singlehandedly, must face the flagrant ignorance, mockery and depravity of his detractors.
And here, in the netherworld, so present in every society, the Son of Man has for audience but the vulgar mob, the People of the Abyss of Jack London, the Ghetto-Mind in the revolt of the masses of Jose Ortega y Gasset. Finally and painfully, the noble soul is thus overcome by the restive and overwhelming legion-crowd of Satan, the Prince of Lies and Darkness. Like the unfortunate fate of Socrates, Mozart and Dante, and Joan of Arc, great men and women, of the finest kind and caliber, are daily crucified.
Are we not the mob who hate the Light of Christ, the God of Beauty and Hope?
Therefore, a Christian person would have his human nature well checked, tried and watched in the mirror of Christ's Noble Character, and that his natural tendencies and habits would not surprise him off guard. This is, indeed, a difficult essayed attempt on the other pulsing-strokes of our Human Nature; and the best moralists, from the most ancient to the most current phisophers, have simply prescribed rules and laws and regulations to keeping our human nature within the bound of safety and civility...and perhaps we may be able to make it to Heaven.
The Good Christian from the Perspective of Shakespeare and La Rochefoucauld.
According to Shakespeare, and I don’t know if could agree with him at this point: given the right circumstances and events, most people would simply repeat the same actions, because it is very difficult to act contrary to the intrinsic nature of our impulses, that is to say, the re-affirmation of our character in the rolling scroll of our circumstances, is remarkably self-assertive.
And it is in the insignificance of our daily occurrences (trivialities), at those instances when we are off guard, therein, the true inner-self may stamp its indelible, feeble and yet strikingly original fingerprints of our hidden motives, and the quintessential monograms of our personality are manifest as the daylight, for all to see.
As I said earlier, we are, at least, the average people, bound to do so, and rarely otherwise, as compelled by the ineluctable coercion (tight grip) of our human nature. The invisible hands of the mob, the foes of Christ, are, for the most part, baffling, elusive, deceptive, treacherous, for we cannot always comprehend the mysteries of iniquity.
The "demonic" may seem to perplex us, and we would never suspect that we are under their pervasive influence: the yoke of nihilism. The mob demonizes the Christ of Life and Beauty, and he is finally crucified like a thief. And so, here we are, over time, the masses have come to adore a Christ of nihilism, a Ghetto-god that is praised and elevated to the throne of the Most High! Incredible! And here, we would ask the learned reader whether Nietzsche was correct or incorrect?
What kind of Christ or Devil is the Genius?
Thus, we may feel the tight grip of Satan, warping our soul, and the oppression is as real as the bone-breaking, fulsome grasp of a coiling asp-snake:
O Lord! Help me!
Indeed, our society, at least the society that I live in USA, which was still great in the 90s, is suffering from a spiritual stagnation, a soul-killing element is pervasive in the breathing-air of our cities --and ours is an age of machines and money-making as the final goal of existence.
The subversive army of the Devil, is creating a desert amidst our cities. Ghost-towns, like the state of Detroit in USA, may smack of slums, woes and destruction. Thus, this dismal land may exhume something creepy, somber, bleak.

Along with the total demoralization of the West, from top to bottom, from the government to the church, the rabble who killed Jesus --and perhaps they hate Plato and St. Paul the Apostle-- would like to overthrow the cornerstones of our Western Civilization.
Excellent men and women are daily crucified by these satanic forces. And you stand firm in your unshakable conviction, the mob would simply declare you "un loco fuera de serie," and it is just a matter of time before the mob demonizes you as they did with Jesus Christ. In such modus operandi, so they have continued, down through the ages, demonizing men and women of the finest caliber.
Yea, we live very difficult times, and it is, indeed, a disheartening reality to live and walk amidst zombies and ghouls who have neither feelings, nor conscience. Ours is a bleak world devoid of trust and genuine friendship, and there are few things uncorrupted by the god Mammon. And pay heed, the Devil is not alone, you may have to come to grips with the blond tresses of Lilith, or with the other dreadful devils, whose wicked works, dating back to the times of Babylon, have brought division, suffering and destruction among the children of Adam and Eve.

Mind you, the Devil is so terribly fond of society, the fine gatherings of friends, whereat some people may find their daily allowance of gossip and chattering, therein, el Diablo may set everything and everyone on fire and scandals.
Therefore, watch out! In civilized society we may sue one another, but in the wood, we devour one another like wild animals. Those who have read the Faust of Goethe, are already schooled in these mysteries: Faust Part 1, deals, for the most part, with civilized society, Faust Part II, deals with the wild wood, and there, in the jungle, we may find the true meaning of those grotesque animalistic references and masks (Lamiae, Empusa, Phorcyas) and other strange gargoyles as found On the Upper Peneus:

Indeed, the mysteries of Good and Evil are as much present in New York City as they are also present and active in the wood of yore, (Faust Part II) --from the Germany of J.S. Bach to ancient Greece and even to the farthermost deserted lands of ancient Egypt-- the Sphinx’s enigmatic gaze enthralls us all!
What a Hell Is this Horrendous Beast!

And so when we run away from the scalding cauldrons of modern society to the wood of our placid meditations, and even there, amidst the bushes and rustles, we may also encounter the other shady characters slinking and scampering into the shadows and penumbras of existence.

In civilized society, nevertheless, we view our peaceful society from the stately palaces of the Judicial System and the Civic Court in USA. But even there, in the court, we may gasp in disbelief; for, when we view the human heart from the perspective of the ancient people of Greece, or from the wild woods of Alemania or, from the desolate lands of Mesopotamia, we may also encounter the same mysterious forces at work: Lilith, Asmodeus, Andramelek, Beelzebub, Mammon, among others scary entities, are still haunting the woes of humanity.
What new devils may haunt the world today?
And this world, which is definitely morally bankrupt, lawless and wicked, it is not uncommon to finding the noblest youth, especially young pretty girls, befriending solely older people --the oldest the better, because so they may expect to escape the many evils, jealousy and dangers daily befalling upon the narrows paths of men and women.
Lilith, Asmodeus, Mammon, and Nihilo, the baneful quartet of our woes are wrecking havoc with our generation. You come too close to any of these scary entities (denizens from the underworld), and you could certainly run the risk of being swallowed whole into the Pit of Hell.
Watch Out!
Once you are there, in the Crypt of Satan, O Man! Who will save you? It would be very difficult to see the sweet light of day again. Long stretching hands would draw you back, and demonic forces with their sharp hooks, tight nooses and snares, would pull you back-in by force, back to a frightening, starless place where all is darkness, sorrow, suffering and despair: Hell. And there shall be the weeping, gnashing and clattering of teeth.
On the outside, of course, the world looks beautiful and splendid, but inside, behind the scenes of our daily squabbles and petty trifles, there is also another awful reality, a Spiritual World, replete with ghosts and demons which could make one fret with dread and horror.
The pernicious power of evil (the Devil) works in silence, day and night, 24 hours, but the culminating point is like a sudden shock or thud! It may take long years of cold-blooded calculation to ruining the life of a mighty man, as the Christ of the Four Gospels, but the netherworld’s predators of our existence, pay heed, are not wanting in patience, circumspection and heart-stabbing intelligence to orchestrating their attacks with appalling efficiency. The results are devastating, the losses beyond retrieve.
When these shady entities cannot scratch your skin, they would simply charge at your character with the piercing arrows of goddess Lilith. O Man of Steel! There shall be your mortal wound, for like Amfortas, under the hypnotic spells of Kundry --or lovely Idilco who got Attila’s Amorous Yes in the gentlest ways possible, so you would fall to the ground like a dead man.
The mighty man is done, and he is thus swallowed-up by a simple lady-maid. For bear in mind, my savvy reader, to this day, woman, la feminina belleza par excellence, continues to be one of the most effective ways to tarnishing a man of character and integrity.
In the New Testament, the character of Christ is so elevated in the Four Gospels, that we never, if ever, find Him embroiled in any romantic relationship with a woman. The woman of Samaria, for instance, is just a faithful disciple of the Master. In Christ, we may find the Second Adam, in Maria, the mother of Jesus, we may find the Second Eve, and now the first couple is finally redeemed from their fallen nature.
Arthur Schopenhauer, a caustic philosopher who has been accused of impudent misogyny, wrote a scandalous Essay on Women, but I should not fall into this category, for I have made it clear, over and over again, that between woman and woman, man and man, there are great differences; and during my many walks on this earth, whether in Times Square, NYC, or the Fort Tryon Park, I have met great women surpassing my platonic concept of Helene, women capable to redeeming the afflicted soul from the unquestionable subversive power of this world. And with few doubts, despite the many good souls out there, I am sure there are many demonic forces embodying the most beautiful bodies –especially those of women.
Therefore when speaking of the Hebrew demon Lilith (a demonic woman mentioned in Faust Part I, Walpurgis Night, worth reading, especially as found in Walpurgis Night’s Dream), I must clarify, so as to avoid any misunderstanding, that I am not a misanthrope or a hater of the feminine creature (misogynist), the feminine mystery is beautifully reconciled in the pure person of Mary, the mother of Jesus. But one only has to peruse the Holy Scriptures, and may even agree with the madness of Nietzsche and the wise Proverbs of Salomon (Chapters 5, 6: 24, 7: 05), and read therein how the strongest men are overcome by the hypnotizing powers of Delilah.
Elephants Never Forget - Civic Honor!
Heinrich Schliemann, the divine gold-digger, did not forget the glorious past, the great Hellenistic Culture, and with pick and spades, he went on to dig out trove-treasure from the mint of his beautiful soul, for as a great man, he was destined to be very wealthy --where is my Helene?
Sophia, his sweet-faithful wife, would guide his steps safely through places waste, dreadful and dismal: Mesopotamia. And who would have guessed that in such deserted lands the legendary City of Troy would be found! O heaven! What wonders and treasures may lie deeply buried and hidden to the common profane eyes. And how Angelic beings may bless over and over the Children of Aurora! I am totally convinced that there are divine forces and beings (gods, angels, celestial beings) compensating the toiling efforts of the new Shliemanns and Humdbolts of today.
I have to say that the greatest master pieces, like golden coins sent from heaven, ought to be unraveled diligently, and Heinrich Schliemann, like Carl Jung, had read the Faust of Goethe very carefully --like a Bible. The Faust is a concoction of insights and sealed codes, and little by little one can comprehend its seemingly desultory passages --for they were so esoterically written so as to keep the rabble in bewilderment and outside of the holy temple of Wagner.

On the Three Furies of Goethe and Dante Alighieri:
When speaking of the Hebrew demon Lilith, I must clarify that I am not a Misanthrope or a hater of the feminine creature (misogynist), the feminine mystery is reconciled in the pure person of Mary, the mother of Jesus.
But one only has to peruse the Holy Scriptures, and may even agree with the madness of Nietzsche and the wise Proverbs of Salomon, and read therein how the strongest men are overcome by the hypnotizing powers of Delilah, or the baneful hexes of Lilith.
In the Parsifal of Wagner, we therein read how Klingsor uses the alluring power of his nymphs to destroying the great hero; and thus, among the strongest races, a great heroine like Judith or Cleopatra, could win a battle through the abstractus-power of feminina belleza; their beauty, their charms can exert power over kings and monarchs, and via extension, nations and people are ultimately ruled by a beautiful Cleopatra --the Lady Rules our Society.
Among some very beautiful women, however lacking restraint and chastity, there is to be found a "subliminal spell," it may not be a “hex,” but Psyche, as though bewitched by the unconscious, is more apt to be made easy conquest and conquered territory, and the once mighty man, whether an Attila or a King David, are forthwith reduced to mere pygmies and caricatures.
The sublime story of Judith, strikingly similar to that of the beautiful blond Idilco or Hildegunde as known in the Germanic saga, and who was suspected of murdering Attila in the night of their amorous tryst, such Shakespearean plots and shocking twists are not to be found in the Protestant Cannon, and I wonder why.
The Apocrypha Book of Judith, due to its murdering plot, was considered to be unworthy of a sacred place in the Bible, and eventually, even among some Catholic Bibles, the story was deemed "disturbing" and too mundane so as to be accepted as inspired by Jehovah God. And so, today the name of Judith, a terrible Jewish Heroine, bears little connection to the wary character as found in the Old Testament.
This Lady Is Beyond Impunity
Even today, in cities so complex like New York or Paris --with such tightly-hewn judicial system, replete with laws and edicts almost for everything-- when understanding the jurisprudence of men, their laws, "their astonishing undoing methods" and stratagems, woman is, and has been through-out history “the lady beyond impunity:" and she has much power in abstractus.
Such woman would be the more effective provided she could be escorted by two lawyers, the Devil's Advocate and Asmodeus; and with few doubts, one of the most effective ways to destroying a man's character and career, and by extension his life, with "laser-like precision," would be with the piercing arrow of a feminine accuser.
The Colossal Man of Integrity is thus reduced to smothering rubles, soot, smuts and smoke. Even if the accusing intent, for whatever reason, happens to be retracted, rebutted or annulled, the poor victim would have a slight smear staining the latter nature of his actions. And so, Bill Clinton, however noble and great his actions and deeds, would forever be haunted by the ghost of that tell-all woman of his weaknesses. The spectrum of his society has forever cast something morally suspicious on the aura of our American King David.
The Bible continues to amaze us due to its universal truths and relevance in the unfathomable trenches of Human Nature. And the psychological subtlety of the ancient prophets was but the wisdom of ages, the wise sayings of sages; their appraisal of human society was indeed divorced of any silly conjecture, religious sentimentality or bias; the events and circumstances are marvelously presented with the objectivity, transparency and shocking reality of life.
In the German society and their jurisprudence, so cautious in their dealing with the explosive stuff of human nature, and this could have been due to the popularity of Parsifal by Wagner, as a succinct recapitulation of Goethe's Faust's tobogganing insights on such array of complicated ethical issues: betrayals, feuds, vendetta, the gripes of suspiciousness, jealousy and infidelity. Nevertheless, it was, as it is today in certain places in the German society, and even in some asiatic cultures, very unmanly and dishonorable to resort to finding an accuser to tarnishing a man of good character.
And one may say, the apparent circumspection and distrust among some German people, are not to mar their excellent ideas of friendship as tested by the furnace of time and circumstances: once one wins their trust, one would come to value it as rare pearl of exquisite glint.
The concrete power and reliability (man of steel) lies in the shimmering sparks of reason, his wit, his sanity, his self-respect, but once a man loses his head for a Lilith or a Cleopatra, he would fall under the sneering contempt of any decent society.
Therefore, it would have been better to such silly a man, that is to say, if he is neither a dog nor a wolf wagging his tail --yelping and barking all nightlong, to mitigate his carnal minds in the mad writings of Nietzsche or Henry D. Thoreau, The Walden Pond, Solitude.
Note: This e-mail was sent only to men of steel like Heinrich Schliemann, because, a man of honor would never forget the past wrongs committed to his persona. Certainly, he may forgive, but he would not forget, because he would end up barking like a dog trying to bite his tail.
And here lies the difference, a precipitous chasm, a lacuna between man and man, woman and woman.
There are the divine Sophias and Helenes and Marias, but there are also the hellish Liliths and Alectoes!
It is obvious that Goethe, like Salomon in his wise aphorisms, is warning the strong German youth to be careful with these woes and banes of nations.
Over and over again, Goethe warns us on the erratic duality of this "female enigma fatale," but a pure woman can much avail with her redeeming power, loving hands and fidelity: chastity, purity and submission.
Once we reach the arching heaven, there we shall find the holy maid, the other side of goodness embodied in the Immaculate Mary or Gretchen, and the sweet lady could then apply the poultice to the wounded soul Amfortas (Character in Parsifal who was mortally maimed by a witch).
The breath of a pure woman is like Apple!
In my youth, I felt in love with a young beautiful lady, a Margarita-like dame, and along with her mother, Marta, I often saw the two ladies going to church on Sunday morning.
Unfortunately, the heavenly maid was not as chaste, and she filthily copulated with a son of perdition, a Sphinx of mysteries. To this day, she is a wounded soul --the gash of her guilt bleeds the bloody tears of shame and dishonor. Her spirit cannot find rest because she is a traitor.
She pretends to be my friend, but her heart is at war with my platonic ideas of Dante and Beatrice. This is indeed a mystery. And had I not been instructed by my masters, Goethe, Salomon, Tisiphone (Revenge) my soul could have been swallowed whole into the ghastly Pit of Hell.
The Furies, Alecto, Megaera and Tisiphone (Faust Part 2) have enchained her soul in places waste and dismal, and like Medusa, she is now a dreadful spirit rambling and haunting the underworld.
Of course, on the outside --on the outward, during the diurnal hours of her conscious mind, she is a good Kundry, but, on the other nightly realm of the unconscious mind, Lilith, the snake, has her many daughters of perdition.
The truth of these baffling psychological insights, like golden coins smelted in the fire-furnace of hard-won experiences, are to be learned in the Proverbs of Salomon (Chapter 6, and the snares of a bad woman is like gall and sourer than vinegar), which I am sure Goethe had studied very carefully, as did the other strong German philosophers, Kant, Schopenhauer, Nietzsche, are daily corroborated in the misfortunes of some men.
Accordingly, if we are to understand Goethe's Faust, one would have to read it as a wise collection of aphorism, maxims and proverbs.

From time to time, you will face difficult situations requiring the counsel and advice of a wise person (Proverbs 12). I am not an expert in law, but as a free thinker, I am at liberty to expressing my views on jurisprudence and the difference between a smart person and a foolish one.
A. Schopenhauer's views on the gift of genius lies on the power of objectivity, which is the capacity to access any transient phenomena with little meddling of our subjectivity (something that he felt to be affected by the "will-to-exist").
A genius could cast, in one single bold strike of brilliance, the eternal recurrence of one thousand similar sunsets and sunrises: the same results and circumstances!
This is what Schopenhauer means by genius: the phenomenal ability to intuiting or perceiving universals in single moments of reflections.
A true genius, in a moment of blissful revelation, or immersed in sudden epiphanic moments of insights, could plumb the womb of time and space and thus fill us with enough thought-material for the interpretation of transient phenomena.

Arthur Schopenhauer's list of geniuses is smaller than the McArthur Genius Awards'. He highly admired Rembrandt, the Dutch painter, not just for his astonishing technical virtuosity, but also for his in-depth understanding of human nature.
Rembrandt knew people to the core, in and out. The human face, "countenance," was clearly read as the quintessential monogram of a person's inward nature. Accordingly, the greatest geniuses have often been deemed as the greatest psychologists. They could see one million faces in one single character!!! They seem to read books in one single glance, introduction or pre-face at first sight.
A. Schopenhauer (Parerga and Paralipomena, Vol. 2) places Shakespeare as a genius who towers above the rest.
Why?
The reason is obvious: If you can see one thousand Joes in one individual character, you are a natural psychologist. Simply stated, you are a genius. And if you are a gifted psychologist, you could potentially outfox ten lawyers, and could even outsmart the lion, the asp-snake and the tiger!
When speaking of character, there is a chasmic dichotomy among intelligent people. Some very clever people believe that character is like an image forged on a coin, and that the unrolling Scroll of Circumstances could only unfold but to prove the inner stuff of our inner nature.
A good lawyer, trained on human nature, would probably treat his subjects as would a good doctor prove his expertise by the rigor of time and experience. Between two opponents, let's say two competent lawyers, the most disciplined, that is to say, the one with the greatest acumen, equanimity, penchant for evidence, punctiliousness, profesional mien and probity, would win the approval before a jury and a wise judge.
There are those, and you may subscribe to this view, whose views on human nature are not to be founded on the principles of determinism (predictability, set of outcomes according to Behavioral Patterns or Precedents). According to this view, a human being has the potential to becoming a completely different person.

Salvador Dali: this artist proved to be not only beyond praise or reproach, he is the father of "locology," a branch of psychology that studies the phenomenon of genius as often misunderstood, misjudged or vilified by established parameters, norms, intellectual prejudices in a given society (cliques and claques).
It is worth reminding ourselves the famous cases of geniuses, real martyrs, once thought to be madmen and madwomen. In some exceptional cases of remarkable geniuses, society was often wrong, but it took times and generations to really appraise a genius of the caliber of Mozart or Henry D. Thoreau.
You are at liberty to choosing your favorite genius, but this rare quality is nowadays much abused and misused when speaking of exceptional minds towering above one million heads out there. It is not enough to rise above one million heads. A true genius, like a mountain, has to rise above his-her time, and from such heights, be able to create something totally new and original.

Though the "categorization of race" has little bearing for those already schooled in the well-reported facts on human intelligence and morality as often determined by milieu and custom, there is, however mindful of the sensitive ethical nuances or usage of the "social bracketing term," a quasi universal tendency to speaking of other people in terms of racial characteristics, education and nationality.
While I am in favor of assimilation to the "mainstream society," there are times when whole groups of people (...) could suffer persecution due to the whimsical, indeed flimsy, pendulum of social order, anarchy, lawlessness.
The rule of law could strike a happy chord in the fabric of humanity, but I am not sure you would be able to feed so many people with a loaf of bread and three fish: inequality is a fact of life.
The most common form of persecution is that of religious or personal conviction, and in some instances, men and women advocating justice on behalf of the weak and destitute, could make proselytes of every nation. Nay, the greatest civil right activists today would do well to stop speaking in terms of race, black or white, because poverty and suffering may concern us all (period). By the way, the word "Race," as far as I know, is rarely mentioned in the New Testament (Acts of the Apostles). Nevertheless, it was once thought to be useful when looking for a suspect.
Franklyn speaking, I think most wealthy people would display a face of compassion to those less fortunate, but when you deal with the stuff of humanity, callousness, mendacity and recalcitrancy, one thousand saviors could still leave unredeemed a great number of human beings out there: legion.

Collectively, we do seem to fall into a frenzied hysteria that quite often affect our power of judgement as individuals. In other words, human beings seem to act, dance or think, at their basic animal instincts, as though compelled by the exertion of the greater number of people. This may explain the phenomenon of stardom, and why some celebrities are soon to reach the greater number of people.
Most of us would not admit it, but the mob-social instinct, the rabble, the mass-man, is deeply imbedded in our human nature. There is greater comfort through immediate assimilation than through passive resistance.
In some unfortunate cases, some unassimilated people, that is to say, those unwilling to be part of the "mainstream society" (as it often happens to some arabs and black people in certain part of the world), could suffer behavioral setbacks (resistance) with far-reaching consequences along the rutty path of survival and productivity.
Adaptive Intelligence is always useful, and under certain circumstances it is even advantageous, but the struggle of survival in civilized society, as observed by some sociologists, could leave countless clever people roaming the streets, jobless, subject to vagrancy or delinquency, and solely subsisting through the power of cunning, wit and shrewdness.
It is worth reminding ourselves that wide is the path of perdition, and hell could swallow both the rich and the poor.
Mental atrophy could be linked to conflicts perhaps non-related or inherent in both the individual and society: a reciprocity which would require mutual agreement, compatibility (social contract) and understanding.
In some cases, as observed among some blacks living in a predominantly European society, assimilation could have the advantage of greater share of happiness, entertainment, and productivity through the unquestionable benefits of friendship, excellent work-ethics and social gathering.
Few people would stone others individually, but collectively, there is ample evidence to believe that some could even lynch an innocent person under the spell of legion, or under the power of the many.
Animal Intelligence vs Intelectual Intelligence:
Of course, I would speak from my own personal experiences while living in a rough neighborhood: Washington Heights, a hood once replete with people who lived and survived on animal intelligence and the survival of the smartest.
Convicts, hooligans, thugs and hoodlums (uncultivated criminals) may not have an ear for Beethoven's music, and some could care less about the wise Proverbs of Salomón, but, mind you, they are totally schooled in animal intelligence, which is instinctual --and below the threshold of rationality. It is, nevertheless, a type of congenital intelligence, very effective when outsmarting the fox, the lion and the asp-snake.
By the way, this is the main reason why you should keep your family's flaws privy (hush-hush) because intelligent people know that psychological tendencies are often congenital or hereditary.
In the case of genius, as was the case of Beethoven, it is often appraised or misjudged as affected or stunted by unfavorable circumstances, and it is not strange to finding a genius in a dysfunctional family.
That such genius could relapse into madness is often due to misunderstanding or poverty. Robert Schumann, very gifted composer, we all know struggled all lifelong with some serious psychological illnesses.

Bookish people could potentially develop the capacity (intellectual intelligence) to coping with danger at a philosophical level (on the abstract) but there is an "instinctual intelligence" which is based on wit, guile, subterfuge, shrewdness and cunning.
Civic Intelligence, people who enjoy the protection of their local precinct (311), or are protected by a retinue of securities, bodyguards and other safety measures, are said to be better off than those poor urban people lacking foresight, caution and oblivious to their immediate reality.
Of course, the higher you climb in the difficult ladder of society, the more you are tasked to resolve any matter or sensitive issue with the help of a competent lawyer. I have seen savvy people reaching very high levels of material success, but their wealth soon become their downfall. High society is always brewing with unpredictable dangers and lawsuits, and trusting is the Achilles' Heel.
The Law of the Jungle: the stronger will survive, and in the last analysis, society is a big jungle. Poor people, like ferocious animals, could devour one another for the pettiest squabbles and trifles, but wealthy people would drag you to court, and these dapper folks are extremely litigious.
To my surprise, I have met many people out there, however of the cheapest plumage, capable to outwitting me in matters of worldly wisdom and sagacity.

On the Semantics of Criticism and Civic Honor

Time and time again, the ancient writers surprise us with their devastating candid approach to presenting the characters and events of the Old Testament, as those of the New Testament, with great objectivity, little religious mawkishness, and in every great man or woman (except for the Lord and Savior) there are the virtuous deeds worthy of our admiration, but also --and perhaps from our moral relative perspective-- some were guilty of serious offenses, which, in conformity to the ineluctable coercive forces of our human nature, may warn us, that even among the finest people --even among geniuses and saints-- there are the ever present traces of malice, covetousness, selfishness, lust and pride.
To our surprise, the green-eyed beast not only entered the heart of traitor Judas, but from the Pit of Hell, we may even harken the din-noise of Devils, furiously claiming, as their properties, souls of the finest caliber and moral fabric.
There are those who may go on to compare character and personality to an image engraved in a coin, its most conspicuous traits, however rusting over time, seem to be long-lasting and ineradicable. Thus, events and circumstances are just to prove, albeit unpredictably to our calculations, that our daily trifles are just the stage-play whereupon we may act so and thus, and "rarely otherwise" in the serious drama and plaything of existence.
How often do we hurt by the pettiest trifles? And yet the Proverbs (19:11) of Salomon would remind us:
"...A person's wisdom makes him slow to anger, and it is his glory to overlook an offense."
I do not always subscribe to a pessimistic view on human nature, but to a certain extent, and in the most trying of circumstances and shocks to our precious self, we may be compelled to act thus, and rarely otherwise --metaphysically speaking-- but as though under the influence and authority of a deeper self ingrained in the net-will of our wanton passions; and hence, some of us, perhaps, were predestined to be so, "just the way I am," but in accordance to the most intimate pulsing-strokes of our essential being, our personality, our personality, personal traits: the peculiar baffling internal hieroglyphs of our inward nature. Thus, events and circumstances simply happen to corroborate the grave writings of the most serious writers: Shakespeare, Salomon, Schopenhauer, St. Paul the Apostle, and the other venerable authors of the Four Gospels.
Judas, for instance, was the Son of Perdition, and he was born to be a traitor to his Master. Some silly authors have argued against this somber criticism: that perhaps Judas, surnamed Iscariot, at the behest of his Master Jesus, was called to acting out his part in the Passions of the Christ, and that, in conformity to the Old Testament's prophecies (Isaiah 53), Judas, was asked to betray the Son of Man. I cannot subscribe to this view. In all likelihood, the traitor simply acted out his part but in conformity to his inward nature.
Judas is the typical Ghetto-Creature, low-class and uncouth, could not so readily acknowledge such lofty qualities as found in a simple Carpenter from Galilee; nor was Judas willing to bow down and revere a man standing in the same social status; for, the Master, as were the other disciples, was of very humble background. Hence, the humility and yet supernal qualities of Christ piqued Judas to the point of unquenchable jealousy and betrayal.
Jesus, the carpenter, the noble man of Galilee, endowed with the fine sentiments of a supernal human being and teacher --qualities exclusively reserved for the few luminaries in the high places of Rome and Greece-- was but a poor Jew, an autodidactic moralist par excellence, an unusual case of exceptional intelligence, goodness and virtue, qualities, which, like gold, may shine among those geniuses beset by the throes of a hard existence.
The Lotus-Soul, was born and raised among the Ghetto-Mob, the rabble, the legion, and thus he lived and walked among the disinherited of every kind. His life, limelight and unsuccessful career were but an impending tragedy, a disaster in progress with heartbreaking twists and plots. His crucifixion, was simply the natural outcome of these clashes of values: the noble and the vulgar, the lofty and the low, whereat, the Mighty One, thus forsaken and alone, singlehandedly, must face the flagrant ignorance, mockery and depravity of his detractors.
And here, in the netherworld, so present in every society, the Son of Man has for audience but the vulgar mob, the People of the Abyss of Jack London, the Ghetto-Mind in the revolt of the masses of Jose Ortega y Gasset. Finally and painfully, the noble soul is thus overcome by the restive and overwhelming legion-crowd of Satan, the Prince of Lies and Darkness. Like the unfortunate fate of Socrates, Mozart and Dante, and Joan of Arc, great men and women, of the finest kind and caliber, are daily crucified.
Are we not the mob who hate the Light of Christ, the God of Beauty and Hope?
Therefore, a Christian person would have his human nature well checked, tried and watched in the mirror of Christ's Noble Character, and that his natural tendencies and habits would not surprise him off guard. This is, indeed, a difficult essayed attempt on the other pulsing-strokes of our Human Nature; and the best moralists, from the most ancient to the most current phisophers, have simply prescribed rules and laws and regulations to keeping our human nature within the bound of safety and civility...and perhaps we may be able to make it to Heaven.
The Good Christian from the Perspective of Shakespeare and La Rochefoucauld.
According to Shakespeare, and I don’t know if could agree with him at this point: given the right circumstances and events, most people would simply repeat the same actions, because it is very difficult to act contrary to the intrinsic nature of our impulses, that is to say, the re-affirmation of our character in the rolling scroll of our circumstances, is remarkably self-assertive.
And it is in the insignificance of our daily occurrences (trivialities), at those instances when we are off guard, therein, the true inner-self may stamp its indelible, feeble and yet strikingly original fingerprints of our hidden motives, and the quintessential monograms of our personality are manifest as the daylight, for all to see.
As I said earlier, we are, at least, the average people, bound to do so, and rarely otherwise, as compelled by the ineluctable coercion (tight grip) of our human nature. The invisible hands of the mob, the foes of Christ, are, for the most part, baffling, elusive, deceptive, treacherous, for we cannot always comprehend the mysteries of iniquity.
The "demonic" may seem to perplex us, and we would never suspect that we are under their pervasive influence: the yoke of nihilism. The mob demonizes the Christ of Life and Beauty, and he is finally crucified like a thief. And so, here we are, over time, the masses have come to adore a Christ of nihilism, a Ghetto-god that is praised and elevated to the throne of the Most High! Incredible! And here, we would ask the learned reader whether Nietzsche was correct or incorrect?
What kind of Christ or Devil is the Genius?
Thus, we may feel the tight grip of Satan, warping our soul, and the oppression is as real as the bone-breaking, fulsome grasp of a coiling asp-snake:
O Lord! Help me!
Indeed, our society, at least the society that I live in USA, which was still great in the 90s, is suffering from a spiritual stagnation, a soul-killing element is pervasive in the breathing-air of our cities --and ours is an age of machines and money-making as the final goal of existence.
The subversive army of the Devil, is creating a desert amidst our cities. Ghost-towns, like the state of Detroit in USA, may smack of slums, woes and destruction. Thus, this dismal land may exhume something creepy, somber, bleak.

Yea, we live very difficult times, and it is, indeed, a disheartening reality to live and walk amidst zombies and ghouls who have neither feelings, nor conscience. Ours is a bleak world devoid of trust and genuine friendship, and there are few things uncorrupted by the god Mammon. And pay heed, the Devil is not alone, you may have to come to grips with the blond tresses of Lilith, or with the other dreadful devils, whose wicked works, dating back to the times of Babylon, have brought division, suffering and destruction among the children of Adam and Eve.

In civilized society, nevertheless, we view our peaceful society from the stately palaces of the Judicial System and the Civic Court in USA. But even there, in the court, we may gasp in disbelief; for, when we view the human heart from the perspective of the ancient people of Greece, or from the wild woods of Alemania or, from the desolate lands of Mesopotamia, we may also encounter the same mysterious forces at work: Lilith, Asmodeus, Andramelek, Beelzebub, Mammon, among others scary entities, are still haunting the woes of humanity.
What new devils may haunt the world today?
And this world, which is definitely morally bankrupt, lawless and wicked, it is not uncommon to finding the noblest youth, especially young pretty girls, befriending solely older people --the oldest the better, because so they may expect to escape the many evils, jealousy and dangers daily befalling upon the narrows paths of men and women.
Lilith, Asmodeus, Mammon, and Nihilo, the baneful quartet of our woes are wrecking havoc with our generation. You come too close to any of these scary entities (denizens from the underworld), and you could certainly run the risk of being swallowed whole into the Pit of Hell.
Watch Out!
Once you are there, in the Crypt of Satan, O Man! Who will save you? It would be very difficult to see the sweet light of day again. Long stretching hands would draw you back, and demonic forces with their sharp hooks, tight nooses and snares, would pull you back-in by force, back to a frightening, starless place where all is darkness, sorrow, suffering and despair: Hell. And there shall be the weeping, gnashing and clattering of teeth.
On the outside, of course, the world looks beautiful and splendid, but inside, behind the scenes of our daily squabbles and petty trifles, there is also another awful reality, a Spiritual World, replete with ghosts and demons which could make one fret with dread and horror.
The pernicious power of evil (the Devil) works in silence, day and night, 24 hours, but the culminating point is like a sudden shock or thud! It may take long years of cold-blooded calculation to ruining the life of a mighty man, as the Christ of the Four Gospels, but the netherworld’s predators of our existence, pay heed, are not wanting in patience, circumspection and heart-stabbing intelligence to orchestrating their attacks with appalling efficiency. The results are devastating, the losses beyond retrieve.
When these shady entities cannot scratch your skin, they would simply charge at your character with the piercing arrows of goddess Lilith. O Man of Steel! There shall be your mortal wound, for like Amfortas, under the hypnotic spells of Kundry --or lovely Idilco who got Attila’s Amorous Yes in the gentlest ways possible, so you would fall to the ground like a dead man.
The mighty man is done, and he is thus swallowed-up by a simple lady-maid. For bear in mind, my savvy reader, to this day, woman, la feminina belleza par excellence, continues to be one of the most effective ways to tarnishing a man of character and integrity.
In the New Testament, the character of Christ is so elevated in the Four Gospels, that we never, if ever, find Him embroiled in any romantic relationship with a woman. The woman of Samaria, for instance, is just a faithful disciple of the Master. In Christ, we may find the Second Adam, in Maria, the mother of Jesus, we may find the Second Eve, and now the first couple is finally redeemed from their fallen nature.
Arthur Schopenhauer, a caustic philosopher who has been accused of impudent misogyny, wrote a scandalous Essay on Women, but I should not fall into this category, for I have made it clear, over and over again, that between woman and woman, man and man, there are great differences; and during my many walks on this earth, whether in Times Square, NYC, or the Fort Tryon Park, I have met great women surpassing my platonic concept of Helene, women capable to redeeming the afflicted soul from the unquestionable subversive power of this world. And with few doubts, despite the many good souls out there, I am sure there are many demonic forces embodying the most beautiful bodies –especially those of women.
Therefore when speaking of the Hebrew demon Lilith (a demonic woman mentioned in Faust Part I, Walpurgis Night, worth reading, especially as found in Walpurgis Night’s Dream), I must clarify, so as to avoid any misunderstanding, that I am not a misanthrope or a hater of the feminine creature (misogynist), the feminine mystery is beautifully reconciled in the pure person of Mary, the mother of Jesus. But one only has to peruse the Holy Scriptures, and may even agree with the madness of Nietzsche and the wise Proverbs of Salomon (Chapters 5, 6: 24, 7: 05), and read therein how the strongest men are overcome by the hypnotizing powers of Delilah.
Elephants Never Forget - Civic Honor!
Heinrich Schliemann, the divine gold-digger, did not forget the glorious past, the great Hellenistic Culture, and with pick and spades, he went on to dig out trove-treasure from the mint of his beautiful soul, for as a great man, he was destined to be very wealthy --where is my Helene?
Sophia, his sweet-faithful wife, would guide his steps safely through places waste, dreadful and dismal: Mesopotamia. And who would have guessed that in such deserted lands the legendary City of Troy would be found! O heaven! What wonders and treasures may lie deeply buried and hidden to the common profane eyes. And how Angelic beings may bless over and over the Children of Aurora! I am totally convinced that there are divine forces and beings (gods, angels, celestial beings) compensating the toiling efforts of the new Shliemanns and Humdbolts of today.
I have to say that the greatest master pieces, like golden coins sent from heaven, ought to be unraveled diligently, and Heinrich Schliemann, like Carl Jung, had read the Faust of Goethe very carefully --like a Bible. The Faust is a concoction of insights and sealed codes, and little by little one can comprehend its seemingly desultory passages --for they were so esoterically written so as to keep the rabble in bewilderment and outside of the holy temple of Wagner.

When speaking of the Hebrew demon Lilith, I must clarify that I am not a Misanthrope or a hater of the feminine creature (misogynist), the feminine mystery is reconciled in the pure person of Mary, the mother of Jesus.
But one only has to peruse the Holy Scriptures, and may even agree with the madness of Nietzsche and the wise Proverbs of Salomon, and read therein how the strongest men are overcome by the hypnotizing powers of Delilah, or the baneful hexes of Lilith.
In the Parsifal of Wagner, we therein read how Klingsor uses the alluring power of his nymphs to destroying the great hero; and thus, among the strongest races, a great heroine like Judith or Cleopatra, could win a battle through the abstractus-power of feminina belleza; their beauty, their charms can exert power over kings and monarchs, and via extension, nations and people are ultimately ruled by a beautiful Cleopatra --the Lady Rules our Society.
Among some very beautiful women, however lacking restraint and chastity, there is to be found a "subliminal spell," it may not be a “hex,” but Psyche, as though bewitched by the unconscious, is more apt to be made easy conquest and conquered territory, and the once mighty man, whether an Attila or a King David, are forthwith reduced to mere pygmies and caricatures.
The sublime story of Judith, strikingly similar to that of the beautiful blond Idilco or Hildegunde as known in the Germanic saga, and who was suspected of murdering Attila in the night of their amorous tryst, such Shakespearean plots and shocking twists are not to be found in the Protestant Cannon, and I wonder why.
The Apocrypha Book of Judith, due to its murdering plot, was considered to be unworthy of a sacred place in the Bible, and eventually, even among some Catholic Bibles, the story was deemed "disturbing" and too mundane so as to be accepted as inspired by Jehovah God. And so, today the name of Judith, a terrible Jewish Heroine, bears little connection to the wary character as found in the Old Testament.
This Lady Is Beyond Impunity
Even today, in cities so complex like New York or Paris --with such tightly-hewn judicial system, replete with laws and edicts almost for everything-- when understanding the jurisprudence of men, their laws, "their astonishing undoing methods" and stratagems, woman is, and has been through-out history “the lady beyond impunity:" and she has much power in abstractus.
Such woman would be the more effective provided she could be escorted by two lawyers, the Devil's Advocate and Asmodeus; and with few doubts, one of the most effective ways to destroying a man's character and career, and by extension his life, with "laser-like precision," would be with the piercing arrow of a feminine accuser.
The Colossal Man of Integrity is thus reduced to smothering rubles, soot, smuts and smoke. Even if the accusing intent, for whatever reason, happens to be retracted, rebutted or annulled, the poor victim would have a slight smear staining the latter nature of his actions. And so, Bill Clinton, however noble and great his actions and deeds, would forever be haunted by the ghost of that tell-all woman of his weaknesses. The spectrum of his society has forever cast something morally suspicious on the aura of our American King David.
The Bible continues to amaze us due to its universal truths and relevance in the unfathomable trenches of Human Nature. And the psychological subtlety of the ancient prophets was but the wisdom of ages, the wise sayings of sages; their appraisal of human society was indeed divorced of any silly conjecture, religious sentimentality or bias; the events and circumstances are marvelously presented with the objectivity, transparency and shocking reality of life.
In the German society and their jurisprudence, so cautious in their dealing with the explosive stuff of human nature, and this could have been due to the popularity of Parsifal by Wagner, as a succinct recapitulation of Goethe's Faust's tobogganing insights on such array of complicated ethical issues: betrayals, feuds, vendetta, the gripes of suspiciousness, jealousy and infidelity. Nevertheless, it was, as it is today in certain places in the German society, and even in some asiatic cultures, very unmanly and dishonorable to resort to finding an accuser to tarnishing a man of good character.
And one may say, the apparent circumspection and distrust among some German people, are not to mar their excellent ideas of friendship as tested by the furnace of time and circumstances: once one wins their trust, one would come to value it as rare pearl of exquisite glint.
The concrete power and reliability (man of steel) lies in the shimmering sparks of reason, his wit, his sanity, his self-respect, but once a man loses his head for a Lilith or a Cleopatra, he would fall under the sneering contempt of any decent society.
Therefore, it would have been better to such silly a man, that is to say, if he is neither a dog nor a wolf wagging his tail --yelping and barking all nightlong, to mitigate his carnal minds in the mad writings of Nietzsche or Henry D. Thoreau, The Walden Pond, Solitude.

Once we reach the arching heaven, there we shall find the holy maid, the other side of goodness embodied in the Immaculate Mary or Gretchen, and the sweet lady could then apply the poultice to the wounded soul Amfortas (Character in Parsifal who was mortally maimed by a witch).
The breath of a pure woman is like Apple!
In my youth, I felt in love with a young beautiful lady, a Margarita-like dame, and along with her mother, Marta, I often saw the two ladies going to church on Sunday morning.
Unfortunately, the heavenly maid was not as chaste, and she filthily copulated with a son of perdition, a Sphinx of mysteries. To this day, she is a wounded soul --the gash of her guilt bleeds the bloody tears of shame and dishonor. Her spirit cannot find rest because she is a traitor.
She pretends to be my friend, but her heart is at war with my platonic ideas of Dante and Beatrice. This is indeed a mystery. And had I not been instructed by my masters, Goethe, Salomon, Tisiphone (Revenge) my soul could have been swallowed whole into the ghastly Pit of Hell.
The Furies, Alecto, Megaera and Tisiphone (Faust Part 2) have enchained her soul in places waste and dismal, and like Medusa, she is now a dreadful spirit rambling and haunting the underworld.
Of course, on the outside --on the outward, during the diurnal hours of her conscious mind, she is a good Kundry, but, on the other nightly realm of the unconscious mind, Lilith, the snake, has her many daughters of perdition.
The truth of these baffling psychological insights, like golden coins smelted in the fire-furnace of hard-won experiences, are to be learned in the Proverbs of Salomon (Chapter 6, and the snares of a bad woman is like gall and sourer than vinegar), which I am sure Goethe had studied very carefully, as did the other strong German philosophers, Kant, Schopenhauer, Nietzsche, are daily corroborated in the misfortunes of some men.
Accordingly, if we are to understand Goethe's Faust, one would have to read it as a wise collection of aphorism, maxims and proverbs.

From time to time, you will face difficult situations requiring the counsel and advice of a wise person (Proverbs 12). I am not an expert in law, but as a free thinker, I am at liberty to expressing my views on jurisprudence and the difference between a smart person and a foolish one.
A. Schopenhauer's views on the gift of genius lies on the power of objectivity, which is the capacity to access any transient phenomena with little meddling of our subjectivity (something that he felt to be affected by the "will-to-exist").
A genius could cast, in one single bold strike of brilliance, the eternal recurrence of one thousand similar sunsets and sunrises: the same results and circumstances!
This is what Schopenhauer means by genius: the phenomenal ability to intuiting or perceiving universals in single moments of reflections.
A true genius, in a moment of blissful revelation, or immersed in sudden epiphanic moments of insights, could plumb the womb of time and space and thus fill us with enough thought-material for the interpretation of transient phenomena.

Arthur Schopenhauer's list of geniuses is smaller than the McArthur Genius Awards'. He highly admired Rembrandt, the Dutch painter, not just for his astonishing technical virtuosity, but also for his in-depth understanding of human nature.
Rembrandt knew people to the core, in and out. The human face, "countenance," was clearly read as the quintessential monogram of a person's inward nature. Accordingly, the greatest geniuses have often been deemed as the greatest psychologists. They could see one million faces in one single character!!! They seem to read books in one single glance, introduction or pre-face at first sight.
A. Schopenhauer (Parerga and Paralipomena, Vol. 2) places Shakespeare as a genius who towers above the rest.
Why?
The reason is obvious: If you can see one thousand Joes in one individual character, you are a natural psychologist. Simply stated, you are a genius. And if you are a gifted psychologist, you could potentially outfox ten lawyers, and could even outsmart the lion, the asp-snake and the tiger!
When speaking of character, there is a chasmic dichotomy among intelligent people. Some very clever people believe that character is like an image forged on a coin, and that the unrolling Scroll of Circumstances could only unfold but to prove the inner stuff of our inner nature.
A good lawyer, trained on human nature, would probably treat his subjects as would a good doctor prove his expertise by the rigor of time and experience. Between two opponents, let's say two competent lawyers, the most disciplined, that is to say, the one with the greatest acumen, equanimity, penchant for evidence, punctiliousness, profesional mien and probity, would win the approval before a jury and a wise judge.
There are those, and you may subscribe to this view, whose views on human nature are not to be founded on the principles of determinism (predictability, set of outcomes according to Behavioral Patterns or Precedents). According to this view, a human being has the potential to becoming a completely different person.

Salvador Dali: this artist proved to be not only beyond praise or reproach, he is the father of "locology," a branch of psychology that studies the phenomenon of genius as often misunderstood, misjudged or vilified by established parameters, norms, intellectual prejudices in a given society (cliques and claques).
It is worth reminding ourselves the famous cases of geniuses, real martyrs, once thought to be madmen and madwomen. In some exceptional cases of remarkable geniuses, society was often wrong, but it took times and generations to really appraise a genius of the caliber of Mozart or Henry D. Thoreau.
You are at liberty to choosing your favorite genius, but this rare quality is nowadays much abused and misused when speaking of exceptional minds towering above one million heads out there. It is not enough to rise above one million heads. A true genius, like a mountain, has to rise above his-her time, and from such heights, be able to create something totally new and original.
This is an excellent video, and why it is important to cultivate the healthy garden of friendship and probity. An intelligent person would be slow to upsetting the sensitive bonds of friendship and trust: the oldest institution for success, happiness and peace. Why do some institutions go to the dogs? Though the "categorization of race" has little bearing for those already schooled in the well-reported facts on human intelligence and morality as often determined by milieu and custom, there is, however mindful of the sensitive ethical nuances or usage of the "social bracketing term," a quasi universal tendency to speaking of other people in terms of racial characteristics, education and nationality.
While I am in favor of assimilation to the "mainstream society," there are times when whole groups of people (...) could suffer persecution due to the whimsical, indeed flimsy, pendulum of social order, anarchy, lawlessness.
The rule of law could strike a happy chord in the fabric of humanity, but I am not sure you would be able to feed so many people with a loaf of bread and three fish: inequality is a fact of life.
The most common form of persecution is that of religious or personal conviction, and in some instances, men and women advocating justice on behalf of the weak and destitute, could make proselytes of every nation. Nay, the greatest civil right activists today would do well to stop speaking in terms of race, black or white, because poverty and suffering may concern us all (period). By the way, the word "Race," as far as I know, is rarely mentioned in the New Testament (Acts of the Apostles). Nevertheless, it was once thought to be useful when looking for a suspect.
Franklyn speaking, I think most wealthy people would display a face of compassion to those less fortunate, but when you deal with the stuff of humanity, callousness, mendacity and recalcitrancy, one thousand saviors could still leave unredeemed a great number of human beings out there: legion.

Collectively, we do seem to fall into a frenzied hysteria that quite often affect our power of judgement as individuals. In other words, human beings seem to act, dance or think, at their basic animal instincts, as though compelled by the exertion of the greater number of people. This may explain the phenomenon of stardom, and why some celebrities are soon to reach the greater number of people.
Most of us would not admit it, but the mob-social instinct, the rabble, the mass-man, is deeply imbedded in our human nature. There is greater comfort through immediate assimilation than through passive resistance.
In some unfortunate cases, some unassimilated people, that is to say, those unwilling to be part of the "mainstream society" (as it often happens to some arabs and black people in certain part of the world), could suffer behavioral setbacks (resistance) with far-reaching consequences along the rutty path of survival and productivity.
Adaptive Intelligence is always useful, and under certain circumstances it is even advantageous, but the struggle of survival in civilized society, as observed by some sociologists, could leave countless clever people roaming the streets, jobless, subject to vagrancy or delinquency, and solely subsisting through the power of cunning, wit and shrewdness.
It is worth reminding ourselves that wide is the path of perdition, and hell could swallow both the rich and the poor.
Mental atrophy could be linked to conflicts perhaps non-related or inherent in both the individual and society: a reciprocity which would require mutual agreement, compatibility (social contract) and understanding.
In some cases, as observed among some blacks living in a predominantly European society, assimilation could have the advantage of greater share of happiness, entertainment, and productivity through the unquestionable benefits of friendship, excellent work-ethics and social gathering.
Few people would stone others individually, but collectively, there is ample evidence to believe that some could even lynch an innocent person under the spell of legion, or under the power of the many.
Animal Intelligence vs Intelectual Intelligence:
Of course, I would speak from my own personal experiences while living in a rough neighborhood: Washington Heights, a hood once replete with people who lived and survived on animal intelligence and the survival of the smartest.
Convicts, hooligans, thugs and hoodlums (uncultivated criminals) may not have an ear for Beethoven's music, and some could care less about the wise Proverbs of Salomón, but, mind you, they are totally schooled in animal intelligence, which is instinctual --and below the threshold of rationality. It is, nevertheless, a type of congenital intelligence, very effective when outsmarting the fox, the lion and the asp-snake.
By the way, this is the main reason why you should keep your family's flaws privy (hush-hush) because intelligent people know that psychological tendencies are often congenital or hereditary.
In the case of genius, as was the case of Beethoven, it is often appraised or misjudged as affected or stunted by unfavorable circumstances, and it is not strange to finding a genius in a dysfunctional family.
That such genius could relapse into madness is often due to misunderstanding or poverty. Robert Schumann, very gifted composer, we all know struggled all lifelong with some serious psychological illnesses.

Bookish people could potentially develop the capacity (intellectual intelligence) to coping with danger at a philosophical level (on the abstract) but there is an "instinctual intelligence" which is based on wit, guile, subterfuge, shrewdness and cunning.
Civic Intelligence, people who enjoy the protection of their local precinct (311), or are protected by a retinue of securities, bodyguards and other safety measures, are said to be better off than those poor urban people lacking foresight, caution and oblivious to their immediate reality.
Of course, the higher you climb in the difficult ladder of society, the more you are tasked to resolve any matter or sensitive issue with the help of a competent lawyer. I have seen savvy people reaching very high levels of material success, but their wealth soon become their downfall. High society is always brewing with unpredictable dangers and lawsuits, and trusting is the Achilles' Heel.
The Law of the Jungle: the stronger will survive, and in the last analysis, society is a big jungle. Poor people, like ferocious animals, could devour one another for the pettiest squabbles and trifles, but wealthy people would drag you to court, and these dapper folks are extremely litigious.
To my surprise, I have met many people out there, however of the cheapest plumage, capable to outwitting me in matters of worldly wisdom and sagacity.

I have hereby touched upon the nature of criticism, "sound judgement," and how it ought to be differentiated from calumny, derision and "aspersion," for we are mainly concerned with the reinstitution of character, i.e., the honorable position of a pastor, or church leader, as approved by his or her willingness to abide by the rule of law.
Now, and for the most part, the internal affairs of the Church (religious practices) and the State are often treated separately within the United States, the protection of civic honor, probity and character, as it pertains to a church-member's reputation, is said to be gauged (judged) solely by the final decision of the clergy or the vestry-members, but the pastor, or church-leader should be granted the opportunity to vindicating his or her character and career through the "moral right" of an apologetic letter. Misunderstanding, as has been observed, is often the culprit.
Failure to do so, by the honorable pastor or church-leader, could affect the prospects of third-party recommendation (s) and job-opportunities in USA. With the advent of the Internet, Google, FaceBook, Twitter, and other social medias, the reputation of a pastor or church-leader is at a higher stake.
1-* On which ground (s) is a person deserving of criticism?
The semantics of criticism, as it pertains to human conduct, exhortation, rebuke and admonishment, et al., and how often it is obfuscated and steeped in their context and content, ought not to be conflated with the uprightness of moral responsibility, because, at times, one would be required to addressing any past wrongs and losses in the core of public opinion (civic honor).
Rightly so, the said individual (...) if committed to amending any fracture within the tenuous bonds of trust --the social contract of friendliness-- he, or she, could still vindicate his or her character through the expediency of a timely apologetic letter.
Whosoever suffers losses, personal, financial, civic or on the vulnerable platform of public opinion (social media), and is still careless, nay, negligent, to criticizing his or her losses, would be deemed a mentally castrated Christian. He is neither protected by the Church nor (by) the State.
It is not our responsibility to "criticizing any person," but whoever persists in pursuing rabbit-holes along the rutted path of excuses and platitudes, would have to come to grips with St. Paul's Letter to Titus, and the other missives: 1 Peter and 2 Peter.
2-* How could I remedy a breach-of-trust and honor without incurring damages to the said parties involved?
This is impossible, because any wrong committed, however in the smaller degree (s), it is always interpreted, within [this context or that situation] according to the social constructs of relativism: be these latter matters of personal consideration, of injury, of any significance or interest, or, in the last resort, of some public concern to the well-being of society at large, are often circumstantial.
Christ, for instance, was held as a great man of honor for some people, for others, unfortunately, the Man of Galilee was an downright impostor and demon-possessed individual: Son of Satan.

When thinking of friends, great human beings, and the essential stuff for greatness and durability, it is very practical to find analogies in the constitution of metals: gold, silver and bronze or copper. Or, in a more luminous comparison, the character of a person has often been compared to the nature of stones, pearls and other precious gems.
Gold, stands for quality, endurance, holiness and saintliness. Therefore, your inward nature, which is a great soul, purged, tried and purified in the furnace of fire, would infuse your countenance with the radiant characters and hieroglyphics of Divinity!
Gold is for people of high quality, and therefore, it is reserved for the holiest human beings who ever walked on the surface of the Earth.
Silver, like the lovely, gentle touch of a moonlight, stands for a marvelous human being who is alike wise but also humble in the modesty of everything human, trivial and mortal!

What is striking is how the furnace of time, trials and hardships, simply tests our moral constitution, and eventually, the dredge and virtues of our spiritual substance are manifest in the serious drama of our existence.
Humbly, as I looked back at my errors and human nature, I am aware that the rough outer case of my personality needed the fine polishing-touch of a great artist! And frankly speaking, if there is anything lasting in the improvement of ourselves, then it has to be sought in the inward self.
As I bask in a sunshine of joy and thanksgiving, I did my last revision this morning. Inevitably, I was tasked to correcting myself in the reflections of my flaws and errors.
I would like to thank you, greatly, for being such Giants in my life.

Be slow to talk about your personals with people out there, because at a latter point, this "free-for-all stuff" could haunt you, and you would have a hard time to sleep.
Lock your door: and like an old lady, peer through the little window-hole: who is there?
1-* Your personals (family's inner circle and matters) should stay within your family.
Needles to say, in big family, the chances of having a schizophrenic relative are very high. Mind you, Beethoven, the great composer, came from a dysfunctional home. But you and I are not Beethoven.
So what!!! Beethoven's father was an alcoholic! Ok.
You think it is cool to tell people that you are seeing a psychiatrist, or that you are in food-stamps, or that you receive a monthly disability check? Ok.
Normal people would think you a slack-jawed loser, a total disaster, or simply mentally-castrated joe. --Hey Joe!
2-* Keep your mental stuff sealed with three layers of discretion lest your friend divulge your personals out there.
Why?
Because I am a dummy.
You tell shady people the flaws of your family, or you go on to show them the careless scenes of your habitation, and get ready when in-rushing troubles break-in through the main entrance door.
Dumb!!!
Most people would play you an itching ear to dig out your personal flaws (psychological aberration) within your family in order to launch at your character with laser-like precision.
3-* Funneling out sensitive information could crack the platform of your safety, social standing and the high regards of your friends.
4-* The pipeline of safety could be cracked by insiders, slacked securities forces, the super, janitor, the secretary and even a neighbor could funnel out sensitive information to a third-party.
How about sitting in front of the building or by the stairways or halls?
In New York City, we have heard of dangerous hooligans and convicts coercing employees into keeping sensitive matters privy and hush-hush among themselves.
A few years ago, we heard of a hapless Hasidic landlord who was targeted by those around him (employees), but the authority were able to catch the evildoers.
What is striking is how the furnace of time, trials and hardships, simply tests our moral constitution, and eventually, the dredge and virtues of our spiritual substance are manifest in the serious drama of our existence.
